From June 15 to 20, the best teams will fight for the regional title of the season
Rocket League finds a compromise in the corona dilemma. Psyonix would like to end the season with a big event, the current pandemic makes a global event almost impossible. For this reason, Rocket League is introducing a new championship format, which selects the best teams in four regional tournaments as winners of the new tournament series.
The talented car footballers with RL items store will have to wait a while for world domination - the best in Europe, North America, Oceania and South America is not bad to start with.
From June 15th to 20th there will be a concentrated week of ball and hoop action with daily matches. To make the event feel even more "epic", Psyonix is introducing a new format. In the "Best of Series" the endurance of the best Rocket League credits teams will be tested.
A single encounter can consist of up to three "best-of series". The winner is whoever wins two "Best-of-7" series out of three first. At the RLCS-X championships, "Best-of-7" and "Best-of-5" series alternate. That will keep the professionals on their toes.
In the large regions of Europe and North America, the best six teams each qualify for the RLCS X Championships. In a playoff format, the teams compete for the best positions in the overall ranking. This decides on the entry into the final tournament.
